Sydney Olympic Park Authority is inviting proposals to bring new events to the precinct, with a grants program offering funding ranging from $200 to $20,000, and in-kind support up to the value of $60,000 to event managers interested in staging events at Sydney Olympic Park.
Expressions of Interest will be accepted for events that activate outdoor spaces in the Park and provide a benefit to visitors and the local community. The progam is designed to help subsidise costs and encourage the staging of more community and commercial events in the precinct.
The grant funding and in-kind support is on offer to registered not-for-profit groups and commercial entities that meet the relevant selection criteria, for events that will be held during the 2020 calendar year.
Not-For-Profit Community Groups: Proposals will be accepted and evaluated based on the benefit provided to the community and in particular, activations that foster celebration and community inclusivity. There is potential budget to help events from in-kind support to $20,000 each to go towards expenses, plus additional in-kind event operations support. Proposals that demonstrate having obtained additional funding and resources from other sources are particularly encouraged.
Commercial Entities: The program is looking to seed-fund events that have the ability to activate any of Sydney Olympic Park’s open spaces for the benefit of locals and visitors.
