Community First Step Early Intervention Support

Community First Step has capacity to intake new families for one on one early intervention support. All families with children from 0-12 years old, including newly arrived migrants and refugees are eligible to participate in this program. Caseworkers will work with you one on one, develop case plans and assist you achieve your goals.

For families experiencing:

  • Difficulties in settlement or financial crises
  • Housing and accommodation
  • Lack of parenting skills in new environment
  • Difficulty in managing child behaviour
  • Lack of access to local support services
  • Advice and referral on education and employment
  • Advocacy
  • Assessment and referral to appropriate services
  • Providing parenting skills on evidence based practices
