Fairfield City’s community centres and halls have reopened following the easing of NSW Government restrictions. Council is working with hirers to ensure that they are prepared and able to follow all hygiene and social distancing requirements upon reopening. With more than 300,000 people using the centres and halls every three months, COVID-safe plans are being put in place by Council and hirers. This includes increased cleaning of the centres and halls before and after use, setting a limit on the capacity of each hall and centre depending on its size, and ensuring hirers provided hand sanitiser for their guests and enforce the one person per four square metre rule.
